What the National Weather Service wrote
The Edgewater Beach weather station in Cleveland recorded a peak straight-line convective wind gust of 41-mph from a line of thunderstorms.
The wider storm
At the surface, a cold front moved southward across central Lower MI and southern ON toward southern Lower MI and southwestern NY during the evening of the 13th. Simultaneously and ahead (i.e. south) of the front, a line of multicell thunderstorms persisted generally eastward and produced sporadic peak straight-line convective wind gusts of gale-to-storm-force along the OH shore amidst moderate effective bulk shear and weak to moderate MUCAPE.
During the 14th, the aforementioned front shifted back northward to central Lower MI, the northern shore of Lake Erie, and near Lake Ontario, and then wavered in vicinity of those areas through the early afternoon of the 15th as multiple, weak surface lows moved generally eastward along the front. Within the warm and relatively-moist sector south of the front, a line of multicell thunderstorms persisted generally eastward over and near Lake Erie and generated sporadic gale-force peak straight-line convective wind gusts along the OH shore during the predawn hours of the 15th amidst moderate to strong effective bulk shear and weak to moderate MUCAPE.
Began near Willowick (41.4931, -81.7344).
