What EF1 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF1 is moderate damage: roofs badly stripped, mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned, windows broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 86–110 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

This brief weak tornado started near the intersection of Betigheimer Road and Canada Cross Road and tracked east-southeast along Bill Strong Road, dissipating near Old Port Gibson Road. Many trees were damaged with limbs or tops broken out and some uprooted. The tornado crossed Middle Road just north of Bill Strong Road and essentially paralleled Bill Strong Road. More trees were damaged along with a portion of a roof taken off a barn, a metal carport thrown and some minor roof damage to a home. The estimated maximum wind speed was 90 mph.
