What the National Weather Service wrote

A social media post showed what appears to be a small creek overflowing and impacting the entrance and exit of Playa Buye, preventing people from leaving the area.

The wider storm

A wet pattern developed during the first days of the month as above normal moisture, a nearby upper-level trough and a weak trade wind cap supported shower and thunderstorm development. This included frequent passing showers across windward sectors, followed by enhanced afternoon convection. Flooding and Landslide reports where received during this period, April 1st to 5th.

Began near Cabo Rojo (18.0489, -67.1989).
