Frost/Freeze in Pike, Pennsylvania
Frost/Freeze April 19, 2026 – April 21, 2026 · Pike, Pennsylvania
What the National Weather Service wrote
Temperatures fell below freezing for multiple nights in April.
The wider storm
A strong cold front moved through northeast Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 19th, ushering in a much colder air mass. Temperatures dropped into the mid-20s to lower 30s overnight and remained well below normal through Tuesday, April 21st. This event occurred before the Frost Freeze program was even underway for the season, but due to how far below freezing some areas reached, this unfortunately led to costly crop damage in northeast Pennsylvania.
