Despite relatively weak forcing for ascent with a cold front still well upstream of Southeast Oklahoma, a few discrete thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon on April 27th across parts of McCurtain County. As the environment was only marginally favorable to sustain this convection for a prolonged period, only a single report of hail ranging from dime to nickel size was recorded near the Felker community between Valliant and Wright City.
Began near North Valiant (34.0300, -95.0700).
