Blizzard April 18, 2026 · Kuskokwim Delta Coast and Nunivak Island, Alaska
What the National Weather Service wrote
The Toksook Bay ASOS (PAOO) observed blizzard conditions (blowing snow, winds gusting over 35 mph, and quarter mile visibility) from 3:56 PM to 9:20 PM AKDT Apr 18.
The wider storm
A North Pacific Low in the Bering slowly moved eastward on April 18. The low's leading front moved into the Kuskokwim Delta Coast and brought blizzard conditions to the area before temperatures warmed above freezing. The intensity of the snowfall kept temperatures below freezing, allowing for blizzard conditions to linger through the evening.
