The wider storm

Thunderstorms developed across southeast Oklahoma during the late afternoon of April 24th, then congealed into a partially organized cluster of storms as they moved southeast across the ArkLaTex region during the evening. The storms continued to strengthen and evolved into a more organized mesoscale convective system within northwest flow aloft as they approached the local area. This MCS moved across southeast Louisiana late that night into the early morning hours of April 25th, producing scattered damaging wind gusts. Several reports of thunderstorm wind damage occurred across the area, mainly from downed trees and large limbs.

Began near Greenwell Spgs (30.5700, -91.0100).
