The wider storm

A cold front slowly moved south into the region on April 29th while a warm, moist, and unstable airmass was in place across southwest Mississippi. Thunderstorms developed along and ahead of the front during the afternoon hours, then became increasingly influenced by storm outflow as they moved south faster than the front itself. The strongest storms produced a mix of large hail and damaging wind across portions of southwest Mississippi.

Began near Summit (31.2700, -90.4300).
