Whitewater RAWS reported 63 mph gusts both at 10 PM on April 1st and again at 1 AM on April 2nd.
The wider storm
A low pressure system transitioning through early April over southern California brought substantial amounts of rainfall, especially to portions of the Inland Empire (no April fools). There were also strong and gusty winds, mainly across the higher terrain, through the gaps, and along the desert slopes.
