Mesonet station MTM73 Ledger N Mda measured a 66 mph wind gust and also measured an averaged sustained wind of 41 mph between 4:30am to 11:15am MDT.
The wider storm
A trough brought an increase in southerly winds aloft on the 13th. This combined with a strongly unstable atmosphere brought severe thunderstorms producing scattered severe wind gusts across the region. High synoptic wind gusts also accompanied thunderstorms on the 13th and 14th.
