Event narrative

Thunderstorms with heavy rain resulted in flash flooding in the town of Minot.

Wider weather episode

Slow moving thunderstorms produced up to 5 inches of rain in 2 hours causing several portions of Routes 119 and 124 to be destroyed. One bridge and several culverts were also destroyed and numerous other roads washed out.
