The West Texas Mesonet station 15 Seagraves 1SW measured severe wind gusts, including a gust to 63 mph.

The wider storm

Disturbances in the upper-level flow, coupled with upslope flow in the higher terrain, caused shower and thunderstorm development across west Texas and southeast New Mexico. Dry low-levels allowed several storms to produce strong downbursts, the strongest of which occurred in Seagraves, where damage to multiple buildings was reported.
