The West Texas Mesonet station Marfa 13SE measured several severe wind gusts, including a 68 mph gust.
The wider storm
Similar to June 28th, pulses in the southwesterly flow aloft coupled with upslope flow yielded shower and thunderstorm development, starting in the higher terrain and spreading northeastward towards the Trans-Pecos and Permian Basin. A few storms produced severe downburst winds.
Began near Paisano (30.1800, -103.8700).
