The wider storm

Discrete thunderstorms in southeast Oklahoma congealed into a mesoscale convective complex as they moved southeast into northern Louisiana early morning of May 9th. The system consisted of clusters and linear segments moving rapidly eastward, while localized cell mergers and brief training occurred within the broader complex. The storms produced widespread damaging winds from storms over coastal Mississippi.

Began near La Row (30.5500, -89.5900).
