The wider storm

During the morning hours of May 27th, a squall line of severe thunderstorms associated with a Mesoscale Convective System and outflow boundary from thunderstorms further upstream, resulted in numerous thunderstorm wind gusts by late morning as it reached the Laguna Madre and the nearshore Gulf waters, adjacent to the Lower Texas coast. Gale to Storm-Force winds were common along the line.

Began near Port Isabel (26.0700, -97.1600).
