Flash Flood in Harrison County, Mississippi

Flash Flood June 15, 2026 · Harrison County, Mississippi

Where the report was made, with tornadoes recorded within 15 miles over the years.

What the National Weather Service wrote

MDOT camera showed Beach Boulevard was flooded near the intersection with Porter Avenue. Water depth on the eastbound side was 1-2 feet.

The wider storm

A weather pattern in the upper atmosphere favored the development of showers and thunderstorms across the local area. At the surface, a stalled frontal boundary stretched from west to east near the I-10 corridor and provided a focus for repeated thunderstorm development. Thunderstorms repeatedly developed and moved over the same areas along the boundary, producing very heavy rainfall across portions of coastal Mississippi over the two-day period and resulting in flash flooding.

Began near Biloxi (30.3949, -88.9023).
