Where the report was made, with tornadoes recorded within 15 miles over the years.
What the National Weather Service wrote
A picture on social media showed St. Martin Road in D'Iberville was flooded. The water was half way up a mailbox.
The wider storm
A weather pattern in the upper atmosphere favored the development of showers and thunderstorms across the local area. At the surface, a stalled frontal boundary stretched from west to east near the I-10 corridor and provided a focus for repeated thunderstorm development. Thunderstorms repeatedly developed and moved over the same areas along the boundary, producing very heavy rainfall across portions of coastal Mississippi over the two-day period and resulting in flash flooding.
Began near North Biloxi Arpt (30.4320, -88.8792).
