The wider storm

A stationary front was stalled over the coastal Mississippi. At the same time, a weak upper level trough was moving through the Lower Mississippi Valley. Both of these features tapped into a warm and unstable airmass to produce thunderstorm activity in coastal Mississippi. These thunderstorms produced some severe wind gusts.

Began near Silver Run (30.7500, -89.3700).
