The wider storm
An unsettled weather pattern unfolded across the Ohio Valley and Central Appalachians for the start of June amid a stalled frontal boundary and building heat and humidity. This combination allowed for daily storm initiation across the Midwest that eventually tracked into Ohio and northern West Virginia. On June 6th and 7th, storms tracking into the area reached Harrison and Taylor Counties late in the evening and caused tree and power line damage before dissipating with the loss of daytime heating.
Began near Blueville (39.3400, -80.0100).
