The wider storm

A strong line of thunderstorms swept across West Virginia on the afternoon of June 14th ahead of a cold front. The environment that day was conducive for storms to thrive, and reached strengths that caused a swath of tree and power line damage from the Ohio River to the Appalachian Mountains. The line of storms continued to steadily shift eastward with the arrival of the cold front that evening, with the risk of damaging wind gusts also coming to an end.

Began near Williamstown (39.4000, -81.4500).
