The wider storm

Late on the night of June 18, coverage of showers and thunderstorms expanded in association with a cold front and a slow-moving shortwave trough. This system then pushed south through North Texas early the morning of June 19. As the front continued southward and the shortwave propagated eastward, a second round of showers and storms developed across Central Texas on Saturday, June 20. The primary hazard accompanying these storms was flash flooding, though a few instances of damaging winds were also reported.

Began near Possum Kingdom Lake (32.8700, -98.5600).
