Weak surface high pressure ridging was centered just to the south of the JAX CWA on both the 26th and 27th, resulting in a west to southwest flow across the region. Sufficient moisture and summertime instability resulted in numerous showers and thunderstorms, with some strong to severe storms causing isolated reports of damage across the area.
