What the National Weather Service wrote

A Wunderground station located just off CR 2325 near Highway 294 measured a 6.01 inch storm total rainfall.

The wider storm

A weak surface frontal boundary stalled out over portions of Deep East Texas, Lower Toledo Bend Country, and into North-central and Northeast Louisiana during the early morning hours on June 20th, separating warm and very moist air near and south of the front from the slightly drier air to the north. A weak upper level disturbance traversed east atop the front throughout the morning through the early afternoon hours, which enhanced large scale forcing for the development of showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall. As this continued through the morning, the periods of heavy rain moved repeatedly over the same areas, which resulted in widespread amounts of 2-6+ inches falling over Southern Cherokee County Texas, as well as other portions of Deep East Texas, Central and Northeast Louisiana.

Although no flooding was officially reported, here are storm total rainfall amounts that were measured from various stations in Southern Cherokee County:

7 miles southwest of Alto: 6.06 inches (HADS gauge along Highway 21 southwest of Alto along the Neches River at the Houston County line).

6 miles west of Alto: 6.01 inches (Located just off CR 2325 near Highway 294).

Began near Alto (31.6427, -95.1640).
