The wider storm
A Mesoscale Convective Complex (MCS) quickly shifted southeast across Central and Southeast Oklahoma during the early morning hours of June 22nd, driven by a strong southwesterly low level jet and an upper level disturbance that traversed the state. These storms began to weaken as they moved into Southeast Oklahoma, but remained strong enough to produce strong and locally damaging winds which downed several trees across McCurtain County Oklahoma shortly before daybreak.
Began near Shults (33.8825, -94.7624).
