The wider storm

A warm, moist airmass with mid 80s temperatures and low to mid 70s dew points supported initial thunderstorm development in central Ohio with geographically moderate to strong MLCAPE values up to 3000 J/kg and 15-25 knots of effective shear. As the storms progressed east, they became more congealed along cold pools and the wind threat increased into western Pennsylvania with notable tree damage and some damage to structures as well within a line of storms producing 60-75 mph wind.
