Two MT DOT sensors measured gusts of 58 mph or greater, including MTFPS Flesher Pass and MTMDP MacDonald Pass. The peak observed gust was 70 mph at Flesher Pass.
The wider storm
An approximately 50 kt jet passed across the region the afternoon of June 16. Combine this with deep vertical mixing and several areas ended up observing strong wind gusts through the day.
