What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

NWS Storm Survey confirms an EF-0 with max wind of 75 mph.

The wider storm

Broad forcing for ascent in the left exit region of a 60 knot mid-level jet allowed for scattered thunderstorms in an environment with upper 70s temperatures and low 60s dew points. A sufficiently unstable airmass with 1000 J/kg of MLCAPE and 40-60 knots of effective shear beneath the core of the jet supported some storm organization with an all hazards day in discrete cells.

Began near Seneraville Res (39.9028, -81.3554).
