The wider storm

Severe storms developed on June 1st mostly across central and southern Mississippi as afternoon heating of a very moist airmass contributed to substantial atmospheric destabilization. The primary observed impacts were from damaging winds though at least one report of large hail was recorded. Additional thunderstorms developed in the afternoon of June 2nd in a similarly unstable summer airmass.

Began near Goshen Spgs (32.4800, -89.9200).
