Strong Wind June 18, 2026 · Southern Washington, New York
What the National Weather Service wrote
There were multiple reports of single trees down throughout southern Washington County including in the towns of Cambridge, Greenwich, Hudson Falls, White Creek, Easton and Salem.
The wider storm
An anomalously strong low pressure system and frontal system crossed eastern New York on June 18, 2026. Gusty winds ahead of a complex of showers and thunderstorms produced some incidents of downed trees, mainly in eastern Schenectady and Washington counties. The passing line of showers and thunderstorms downed trees and wires as it crossed through the area during the afternoon hours. Some of these trees and wires fell onto residences. This knocked out power to some areas, some of which remained without power into June 19, 2026.
