What EF0 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF0 is light damage: shingles and siding peeled, gutters torn, branches broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 65–85 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

Two mobile homes in North Fort Myers had roof damage. A video of lofted circulating debris supports a very brief touchdown, lifting about two-thirds of a roof off of one home and lifting the roof off of a porch of another. Time estimated from radar. Estimated EF-0 with 65 mph winds.

The wider storm

Moderate to strong instability south of a frontal boundary draped across the northern Florida peninsula supported afternoon convection that produced a tornado near Fort Myers in Lee County.
