The Michaud Creek wildfire began June 6th in the early afternoon and was 100 percent contained by the 9th. It was just west of the Pocatello Regional Airport in between the airport and Pocatello. Strong winds created an initial growth to 1,560 acres but no buildings ended up being damaged or threatened due to quick suppression.
