A storm off the northern California coast on the 22nd crossed New Mexico on the 23rd, bringing moderate to heavy snow to the northern and western mountains, Northwest Plateau and Upper Rio Grande Valley. Snow amounts were generally 4 to 8 inches over the lower elevations and 8 to 16 inches over the higher terrain. Tierra Amarilla recorded 20 inches of snow. Meanwhile, high winds again blasted parts of central and eastern New Mexico.
