Event narrative
Several spotters near the Cascades reported high winds, both sustained and gusts. The highest report was 50 mph, with gusts to 70 mph, near Enumclaw. Nearly 5500 homes lost power in east Snohomish, King, and Pierce counties. In Buckley, two businesses had their front windows blown out.

Strong offshore pressure differences across western Washington produced strong winds to exposed parts of the area.
