An avalanche occurred within the boundaries of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort resulting in the death of a 31-year-old male. The slide carried the victim and his uninjured companion 200 yards. The depth of the avalanche was six to eight feet and completely buried the victim. The area had undergone avalanche hazard reduction efforts that morning and had previously been skied that day.
