Event narrative
A wind gust of 59 mph was measured near Sterling Park. One fatality occurred in Purcellville when a tree fell on a man as he was clearing the roadway from previous debris (indirect fatality). Wind gusts around the Purcellville area were between 50 and 55 mph.
