Trained weather spotters reported the following snowfall amounts:

5 miles NNW of Cedarville, 6.0 inches of snowfall at an elevation of 4800 feet;

1 mile WNW of Fort Bidwell, 8.0 inches of snowfall at an elevation of 4600 feet.

Wider weather episode

A powerful winter storm brought heavy snowfall to the eastern Sierra and western Nevada.
