Event narrative
Two to four inches of snow fell across portions of the county resulting in numerous accidents. One such accident killed a man, when he lost control of his car and hit a tree at a high rate of speed on a city street.

Overunning precipitation over the top of a cold airmass, combined to produce two rounds of wintery precipitation across portions of Central and South Central Kansas late on December 15th into the early portion of December 16th, 2008. Two to five inches of snowfall combined with a thin layer of ice to produce numerous accidents and one death due to hazardous driving conditions.
