Event narrative
Several inches of rain caused flooding of small creeks and streams and low-water crossings across much of St. Francois County. A 71 year-old man was killed near Bonne Terre when he tried to cross a low-water crossing on Cedar Run Road through Terre Blue Creek.
Wider weather episode
General flooding occurred across parts of Southeast Missouri due to 1 to 3 inches of rain. Small creeks and streams flooded and many low-water crossings became impassable. One man was killed when trying to drive through a low-water crossing in St. Francois County.
