A strong low moved into the northern Gulf of Alaska producing heavy snow and strong wind across Kodiak Island. Snow fall began Sunday before mixing with rain then back to snow totaling around 20 inches over the two day period. The heavy snow and strong northwest wind produced blizzard conditions and substantial drifting snow.
