Intense winds knocked down 4 medium sized trees, broke a basketball backboard off its poll and blew several 2x10 pieces of lumber around and hit a car causing minor damage in the south valley.

Wider weather episode

A storm approaching from the west and plenty of sunshine to mix the lower level winds created strong wind gusts around Albuquerque on the afternoon of the 8th. Wind damage was reported in the South Valley.
