A major winter storm tracked across the Four Corners area and through northern New Mexico bringing heavy snow and strong winds to all of southern Colorado. Blizzard conditions occurred across nearly all of the southeast plains. In the Pikes Peak Region...around a foot of snow fell in the northern part of El Paso County...while around 5 inches fell in the central and southern sections of the county. Snow amounts across the rest of the I-25 corridor ranged from around 8 inches in Pueblo to 16 inches in Trinidad (Las Animas County). Snow amounts across the rest of the southeast plains ranged from 16 to 20 inches. Snow amounts were in excess of 8 inches across the mountains and high valleys.
