Event narrative

Trees were down on houses, vehicles, and power lines. Approximately 30 homes were damaged and three people were injured by the falling trees. Much of the roof was removed from an exhibition building at the Drew County Fairgrounds.

Wider weather episode

Unstable air, fronts meandering in the state, and areas of low pressure aloft contributed to severe weather, including a few tornadoes.

At Arkansas Post (Arkansas County), the rain contributed to making it the wettest May ever recorded.
