Event narrative

Six large juniper trees were uprooted or split. Other trees lost large limbs. A 25 foot section of 1/8 inch steel panel was blown off a cow shelter.

An unusually moist and unstable air mass combined with daytime heating to produce thunderstorms with damaging wind, heavy rainfall, and locally large hail.
