Event narrative
Showers produced a high wind gust from a dry microburst 2 miles east northeast of Clayton.
Wider weather episode
Showers developed during the late afternoon of the 6th along the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo and Sandia Mountains and drifted east during the evening. While producing little or no rain due to the dry low levels of the atmosphere, the showers did create brief high wind gusts in the form of dry microbursts.
