A spotter reported 8 inch diameter trees blown down and wind damage to a barn. 0.40 inches of rain fell, and there was no hail.

Southerly winds aloft ahead of an offshore cutoff low advected monsoonal moisture over the area. Short waves spinning around the low and a deformation zone aloft contributed to the development of numerous afternoon and evening thunderstorms, a number of which contained large hail and strong winds.
