A tropical wave extended from the Mona Passage south southwest across the Caribbean Sea during the late afternoon of June 8th. Scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms developed over the central and western interior part of Puerto Rico.

Began near Barceloneta (18.4300, -66.5500).
