A waterspout was observed by a NWS employee and air traffic controllers at Key West International Airport about 4 miles north of Key West.

Wider weather episode

Cumulus congestus cloud lines spawned two waterspouts in Atlantic waters south of the Lower Florida Keys during morning hours. By midday, the cumulus cloud lines shifted to Gulf of Mexico waters north of the Lower Keys.
