Northeast low level winds allowed for scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms development across the southern slopes and southwest section of Puerto Rico. By mid afternoon on Thursday October 8, moderate to locally heavy showers and isolated strong thunderstorms had developed from Villalba west southwest to Yauco.
