A complex of thunderstorms moved over the Ohio Valley during the morning of August 4th. Outflow boundaries from this area pushed into our region during the afternoon, helping initiate thunderstorms. An unstable airmass enhanced the storms, pushing some to severe levels with damaging winds over Southwest Virginia.
