A boater was standing in a 14-foot aluminum hull boat when a thunderstorm approached. The man was struck and killed. Two others were with him but in the water, and they were not injured.

Deep tropical moisture south of a trough across central Florida produced scattered to numerous thunderstorms along coastal sections of southeast Florida during the early afternoon.
